# Recruitment Day 2026

Last Sunday, we welcomed a fantastic group of potential new volunteers to our annual recruitment day!

The day began with an introduction to Warwickshire Search and Rescue - who we are, what we do and, most importantly, what we stand for. 

Then it was time to put our recruits through their paces with our 5 in 2 fitness test - 5 miles across varied terrain in under 2 hours!

After lunch, the afternoon was all about getting hands-on. Our recruits rotated through a range of activities, including: a mini search, first aid, drone, search dog, vehicles and team building.

It was a brilliant opportunity for our recruits to experience a little of what life in a voluntary search and rescue team is really like - and for us to get to know them too! 

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and gave it their all. Also, thank you to all our members who came along to help and support, representing our team to the highest standard.
